Janet W. Baily, 92, of Elizabethtown, formerly of West Chester, died Friday, March 22, 2013, at Masonic Village, Elizabethtown.

She was the wife of the late Leon Downing Baily, who passed away in 1982.

Born in Kennett Square, she was the daughter of the late William N. Worrall and the late Bertha Merrick Worrall.

She graduated from Kennett High School in 1938, and was a member of the Kennett Square Presbyterian Church, West Chester Auxiliary to the Chester County Hospital, Po-Mar-Lin Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, and was an avid bridge player with the same bridge club for more than 25 years.

She worked at the New Bolton Center, University of Pennsylvania, for more than 15 years.

She is survived by her son, Leon D. Baily Jr., husband of Judith of West Chester; and her daughter, Janet B. Schavnis, wife of Joseph of Lititz, Pa.; four grandchildren, Matthew Schavnis, husband of Kelly of Lancaster, Megan Rudolph, wife of David of Denver, Jason D. Baily, husband of Amy of Malvern, and Brandon A. Baily of West Chester; three great-grandchildren, Josephine Page Rudolph of Denver, Grant Owen Rudolph of Denver and Thomas Joseph Schavnis of Lancaster; and cousin, Margaret Stoeckel of Trenton, N.J.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Ellen M. Worrall.

Funeral services and interment in Birmingham Lafayette Cemetery will be private.
